    the squat cleans felt heavy after fran yesterday.(did 65lbs last time) got through 5 in the first round, then they were pretty slow after that…one at a time for the 15 and 9. vowing to get unassisted ring dips the next time this comes up.

    That’s 5:13 better than what I did on 9/2, AND I used less weight on 9/2 (66#). Hmmm…maybe there IS something to being consistent and eating right. ;-)

    • Yes I think there is, and this is why you’re my CrossFit hero. I pushed snooze twice this morning then got up and changed the alarm to 7:30. Not very CrossFitty at all.

  10. First time doing Elizabeth. Laura and Damon “strongly encouraged” me to do it Rx. Very glad I did. I had never cleaned 95# before – it made me feel strong!

    Forgot to note my exact time…was 15:30ish

    Rx 95# full squat cleans

    I look forward to this coming up again because I know I can improve this time.

  11. Lifted light 55lbs. red band. 13:48?? or so. about a three minute PR from last time. I think I could have lifted heavier and used the tiny band. Just would have had to be happier with a slower time.

  12. Did alternate workout of 21-15-9 front squats (43#) and ring dips (red). 10:16. First time using my arms in a while. Felt good! :)

  13. One of my upper back muscles is not good. Trying to rest it for a few weeks.

    Did Christine for the first time:

    3 rounds
    500m row
    12 reps bodyweight deadlift
    21 box jumps (20″)

    rx 16:14

    VERY happy with that…when I did Linda back in August, I did deadlifts of 110 and it was REALLY hard but today did 116 and it was hard but not THAT hard. Also, box jumps, which have always been a scary thing for me are much, much better. Plus, I am short so rowing is always a challenge.

  14. After two dates in three days, Elizabeth and I have issues to work out…

    Rx – 11:04 (PR by 1:30)

    I did a better job of jumping out of bottom & opening my hips at top. Damon recommended kipping dips which helped. Just have to keep doing this one.

      As for Elizabeth…

      This was a bad day for me. I did it alone, and by the middle of the second round I was toast — just completely exhausted and unable to continue. This is the first WOD I’ve ever quit, and what’s weird is that I did it last month at the same weight (88 lbs) in 13:26. I think I need more sleep, and probably need to scrutinize my diet (I’ve started getting a little lax on the paleo).
