the squat cleans felt heavy after fran yesterday.(did 65lbs last time) got through 5 in the first round, then they were pretty slow after that…one at a time for the 15 and 9. vowing to get unassisted ring dips the next time this comes up.
Yes I think there is, and this is why you’re my CrossFit hero. I pushed snooze twice this morning then got up and changed the alarm to 7:30. Not very CrossFitty at all.
First time doing Elizabeth. Laura and Damon “strongly encouraged” me to do it Rx. Very glad I did. I had never cleaned 95# before – it made me feel strong!

Lifted light 55lbs. red band. 13:48?? or so. about a three minute PR from last time. I think I could have lifted heavier and used the tiny band. Just would have had to be happier with a slower time.
VERY happy with that…when I did Linda back in August, I did deadlifts of 110 and it was REALLY hard but today did 116 and it was hard but not THAT hard. Also, box jumps, which have always been a scary thing for me are much, much better. Plus, I am short so rowing is always a challenge.
This was a bad day for me. I did it alone, and by the middle of the second round I was toast — just completely exhausted and unable to continue. This is the first WOD I’ve ever quit, and what’s weird is that I did it last month at the same weight (88 lbs) in 13:26. I think I need more sleep, and probably need to scrutinize my diet (I’ve started getting a little lax on the paleo).
Oh…um…I’m really not ready to do this one again so soon…
yeah, she came back around real fast! I’ll be curious to see any improvement from 9/9.

Did alternate workout of 21-15-9 front squats (43#) and ring dips (red). 10:16. First time using my arms in a while. Felt good!
One of my upper back muscles is not good. Trying to rest it for a few weeks.
