  1. Yay Kristy Rx!!! Superhero!!

Cleans *again*? My arm can’t take it. I’ll come in and do something else today.

    • At Michael’s suggestion, did Annie on a Box. Perfect workout for me today. 50-40-30-20-10 box jumps and situps. 17:59.

Could have been faster but froze after 19 jumps. Took about a minute to get unstuck. Laura suggested moving next to the box and jumping, bringing my knees up, and it worked!

      • Great intensity today T! Way to adapt to a tough physical situation ;-)

  2. Kristy, congratulations!

  3. Kristy is a badass! go Kristy!

  4. Awesome Kristy!

  5. Awesome…the bar is being raised!

    • hahaha! “The bar is being raised”…literally AND figuratively! LOL!

  6. Kristy, that’s awesome–congratulations! I hope everyone’s doing well…have a great weekend :-)

  7. On my way to CrossFut LA Fitness to get my C&J’s in!!

  8. 88-98-103-110-115F-110-112

  9. Jerks are never a problem for me (jerk PR is 175); if I can clean it, I can get it up.

Started off with squat cleans to prepare myself for when it got heavy, but kept catching higher with each lift. By the time I hit my PR’s, I was catching in a high power clean – stupid!

    132
    142
    152
    155 PR
    160 PR
    165 F (mental fail; couldn’t commit)
    154

  10. BTW, guys, our compare to dates are

    March 5, 2009

    December 8, 2008

  11. Free admission to LA Fitness: Surprisingly FREE

Trying not to drop your bar after failing: Irritating

Having a small crowd gather as you hit a new PR
and then teaching the lift to a guy that had no idea
what CrossFit, or Oly lifting even is: PRICELESS!

    185-205f-205-215f-215-225f-225(PR)

    • You rock! What we call in education “A teachable moment”…great job!

    • Haha…way to bring Crossfit to the LA Fitness masses! I am sure you were quite the spectacle doing this wod.

  12. Laura and CFRX athletes: thanks so much for having us, you have a wonderful box with a great group of people. Hopefully we will make it back tomorrow morning :)

    ~Liz, Ryan and Justin

    • Lots to work on as far as technique is concerned…only 2nd time doing c&j’s.

      132.137.154.159.164.176f.176f(no jerk)

    • No problem, guys! Thanks for being a part of the fun this morning! Hopefully we can see you all tomorrow; if not, have a safe trip back home

  13. Was looking forward to the cleans but my knee was tweaky even on air squats, so i did 100 pullups instead. Made it to #30 before Laura pointed out I had no stopwatch running. Finished them anyway, then really enjoyed watching all the big dudes clean big weights. Thanks for the show guys!

  14. great job kristy! that’s amazing!

  15. 154, 179, 191, 200, 210, 220F, 220F

foot placement was too wide and it caught up with me later in the workout…need to work on technique…also try split jerk

    • 210 was a PR…guess i should give myself some credit

      • was inspirational watching you and Zeke today..nice work! (i’m just gonna visualize “me” as “you” when i do my next Oly lift wod) ;-)

  16. Way to go, Kristy!

  18. C & J’s are my favorite lift, so I felt great doing these. LaMar was my inspiration as I continued.

    132/154/164/176/186/200/205(PR)

Then I went for the 220!! I barely lifted it off the ground the first attempt. Then I caught it the next three times in a deep squat (the best catch being my third attempt). What I need to remember is to catch it as high to a power clean as I can, what I’m saying is that I don’t quite have a 220lb front squat, so that makes it a little difficult. ;-)

Great way to start the three day series!

  19. 55-65-70-77f-77-77-77

Cleans weren’t hard. The jerks were the tough part. Really need to work on my form.

  20. Way to go Kristy! You are a major CrossfitRx bad ass!

Need to work on quickly dropping under the weight on the jerk. On all three fails I got the squat clean, but kept missing the jerk-maybe should’ve gone down in weight, but I really thought I could get it! Oh well.
